Adoption, Stud Service and Guardian Home Program

Adoption:

Our puppies are $3,000 (pet price), regardless of color.  A $300 reservation is required to reserve a puppy and maintain your 'place in line' on our master list. This reservation fee goes towards the total cost. Once we spend the time to chat with you and make a mutual decision to put you on the list, the reservation fee is non-refundable. We turn others away based on you holding a spot on the master list. However, if something changes that requires  you to wait, you will not lose your place in line on our master list.

Litter selection is based upon the date of reservation received. We keep a running master list depending on the number of litters we are expecting in the near future. Once a litter is two to three days old, we will work down the list, asking if there is a desire to be placed on that specific litter, and you will have 24 hours to decide as others will be waiting on your decision. We will keep going down the list until the litter is fully reserved.  You may pass and wait for the next litter, and you will not lose your 'place in line' if you decide to pass.  Depending on the number of selections above you that choose to be placed on that litter, you will move up on the list accordingly.  This process provides flexibility that is sometimes needed to fit you with the puppy that suits you!  Once we assign those with reservations to a litter, it will allow us to then take more reservations on the master list.  We do try to be conservative on reservations as we do not like to disappoint and too long of a list is a bit overwhelming to manage.  Given this method, there will be times when we do have puppies that are available if we have exhausted the master list.

Puppy picking takes place around six to seven weeks, depending on if we are holding back a breeding prospect from that litter.  The order of picks is based on your place on the chosen litter, which again is dictated by the date of reservation. You will know your place in the picking order early in the process.

*** Breeder reserves the right to hold back any puppy for purposes of maintaining it's breeding program ***

Adoption Process:

It is extremely important to us to find homes that are the right fit for our puppies and vice versa. We do not currently have a puppy application. Our preference is to start the process with a conversation to help you learn as much as possible about the breed and us to learn about you.

If we are in mutual agreement that it is the right fit; we will ask you to place your $300 deposit via Paypal or personal check and we will put a contract in place. You can reach out to us via email at michellewwilson@aol.com or via our facebook page.  Even though we feel that placement of our puppies is easier when furever families are within driving distance (SC, NC, GA, TN, FL, VA), we certainly don't rule out longer distances if it means finding the right fit for our puppies.

Why Choose a SC Little Doodle Australian Labradoodle?
At SC Little Doodles, we take our dogs seriously! Our labradoodles are a part of our family and live indoors. Each dog has completed comprehensive health testing and we strive for proper temperament, ability and conformation.

Adopting your next family member is an exciting time, and your enthusiasm should be met with the same! Although our main goal is to ensure that every one of our Australian Labradoodle puppies is placed into a loving and involved “furever” home, we also want our future owners to be involved in the process even before your  puppy is born.  From puppy count X-rays, to whelping and newborn pictures that keep you totally up to date, we offer our future owners a wonderful, involved experience!  Weekly pictures and videos are shared, as well as weekly developmental information to let you know exactly what’s happening with your Little Doodle puppy.

The puppies  are raised right in our "keeping room", which is an extension of our kitchen and seems to be the place where we all congregate all throughout the day.  As a result, they get accustomed to lots of interaction, sounds and fun times so by the time they head to their "furever" home nothing will take them by surprise. Once your puppy is old enough, a specific date will be set for you to visit our home and select your puppy. If for any reason you can not visit our home; we are more than happy to help with the selection process based on your preferences. Families will continue to get weekly updates until the puppies are 8-9 weeks old and ready to go home.

Labradoodle Guardian Home Program:

We feel that each of our Labradoodle puppies should have the opportunity to live a full life with a loving and involved forever family. It is for this reason that we have decided to open up an Australian Labradoodle Guardian Program that will allow us to continue our breeding program, while continuing to leave a quality footprint on the Australian Labradoodle breed as a whole.
